2021 Subaru Outback: Drivetrain Options

The new Subaru Outback gives you that flexibility with more than 600 miles of range and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD) that comes standard on every trim. The standard Direct-Injection SUBARU BOXER® engine delivers 182 horsepower. You can upgrade to a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine that makes 260 horsepower and provides 277 pounds of torque and 3,500 pounds of towing capacity. Either engine, when paired with Subaru's standard continuously variable transmission (CVT), enables you to get up to 33 MPG on the highway and an average of 26 MPG in the city.

The new Subaru Outback comes in seven trim levels: base, Limited, Premium, Touring, Onyx Edition XT, Limited XT and Touring XT. To help with nighttime visibility, Subaru has made steering-responsive LED headlights standard across all trims. Other features that enhance the versatility of the 2021 Subaru Outback include an impressive 8.7 inches of ground clearance and X-MODE, which optimizes the vehicle's AWD system for maximum traction on slippery surfaces. Finally, you can pick a color to suit your taste, whether be Autumn Green Metallic, Cinnamon Brown Pearl and Crystal Black Silica. The 2021 Subaru Outback has also received a new paint color option: Brilliant Bronze Metallic.
